8 Books on My TBR List I Hope to Read This Summer

^^^Wow, would you look at all the hard work I put into this header??? Admire the fonts, the overlays, the shading, the- oh, wait I decided to be lazy and just upload a picture from Unsplash without editing it first? Oops.

This post was inspired by the lovely Mira's post, go over to her blog and thank her, because I know y'all were dying to see what I hope to read this summer... *crickets*

Okay, maybe not, but either way that's too bad because THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE GETTING TODAY.

I've read a lot of mixed reviews on this one, but it sounds good and I'm hoping it will restore my faith in coming-of-age novels.

So, I watched this book's trailer and it was really good (watch it here), and I really love this cover for some reason.

This cover though...😍 (Yes, I judge books on their covers, so what??) also, I've been looking for some YA thrillers to read this summer, so I hope this one turns out to be good.

SUPER HYPED FOR THIS!!! I actually ordered it a few days ago, and now I wait... in agony...

This looks SO GOOD! I've been meaning to read it, so I hope this summer I will get around to picking it up.

This book sounds so interesting! Also, can we just admire that cover, because wow, it's lovely.

The ending of the first book was NOT OKAY, so yes, I need this one asap.

Although I love YA, there is always a huge sense of nostalgia and comfort when I read middle-grade books, and this cover and title=irresistible.

What books are you hoping to read this summer?

Happy Writing,

  1. NEAL SHUSTERMANNNNNNN. YASSSSSS. Have you read any of his other books? I 10/10 recommend Unwind and Challenger Deep👌

My summer reading list? Ah, well here goes my best attempt at what I might manage to get to this summer...

•Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer (I'm reading this right now and yes I know the controversy surrounding it.)
•Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer (I'm planning on skipping a few sections due to the sexual content in that one.)
•Firefight by Brandon Sanderson (I'm partway through this but ended up stopping to read the Twilight series.)
    •Calamity by Brandon Sanderson
•Ready Player One by Ernist Cline (<<< I think that's his name???)

  5. Great list! Ohh--I LOVE "The Wednesday Wars" so much! It's such a cute, fun story. And it's about Shakespeare! <3 <3

I can't wait to read "Worlds Beneath"! (that cliffhanger was awful x_x) Also on my TBR list: "Fawkes" by Nadine Brandes, the last two books of the Angel Eyes series, "Uprising" (can't wait! :)), "A Thousand Perfect Notes", "Ready Player One", and whatever I pick up in the YA section of the library. :D

    Great post! <3

  6. Man, those books look excellent! And A THOUSAND PERFECT NOTES!!! That book looks great!

This summer I’m going to try and finish the Goldstone Wood series (I still need to read 5-7), the Ilyon Chronicles, and The Blood Race (which I just ordered and I CAN'T WAIT. Is there any bad content in it?)

    1. I SERIOUSLY CAN'T WAIT TO READ IT! I've heard it's a heart-breaker though... XD

Ooh, I loved the Ilyon Chronicles! I need to re-read them, because I adored them so much in middle school. :D

AHH, The Blood Race is SO good! It has some mild swearing in it (mostly the use of "hell") but it's very sparse. Two characters get drunk in it, but it's not portrayed as a good thing.

    2. Now I can’t wait to read the rest of the Ilyon Chronicles!

      Thanks, Gray!

I want to reread all the Anne of Green Gables books this summer, but it probably won't happen. I definitely am going to be reading a lot of classic mysteries. :D

A funny thing: I went to the library for the first time in forever (that was NOT meant to be a Frozen reference), and whilst I was browsing the shelves in the teen section, I saw a lot of books you had mentioned before and I immediately thought of you. Its great whenever I find myself reminded of blogging friends just because of books, food, remarks, etc. that I associate them with. They feel more real that way. ;) #bloggingperks
