April Showers....

It rained in April, apparently even Texas wanted to be cliche in that this year.

STUFF THAT HAPPENED THIS MONTH

Went to a women's retreat called Women of Valor, and the first night I might have wanted to go hide in the woods and not come out until the weekend ended, but I did end up making friends and having a good time. The lessons were also good, so it didn't turn out as bad as I thought it would on the first day.

Graduating Fishers of Men my evangelism class. I had to give a speech, but luckily they didn't call us up in alphabetic order so I wasn't first, it went better than I thought it would. I can't believe it's over though??? Like, this took four hours on Sunday and at least an hour every day and now it's just done????

A slightly bad + super unflattering pic I found of me speaking, but whatever. The funniest thing was is that there were pictures of some of the guys in my class speaking and they're almost taller than the kitchen window and I wasn't even close.

Anyways, I got two certificates for studying with Christians and non-Christians and I graduated with a good grade and I learned A LOT so I'm pretty happy.

Everyone in Texas:

Went to a prom alternative/formal, it was so much fun!!

The teens from our congregation.

Us girls. <3

I went to bed at 7 a.m., it was exhausting but a good time was had all around!!

singing hymns

Due to a storm, the rest of this month shall be full of clearing trees that fell. Also, have you ever squeezed nine people plus a dog into a small laundry room during a tornado? Funnn times. Honestly, I'm just happy that our house didn't get any damage.

Asides from that, I just drank wayyyy too much coffee.

How was your month?

  7. Oh gosh, you experienced a tornado? I'm so sorry. We almost had one, we were under a warning while I was at work a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately, my bosses were making jokes about it and didn't give us a plan of action in case we got a tornado, their reason being being we don't get tornadoes in Texas. LIES.

I'm glad you're all okay. <3 <3 I love the pictures of the flowers. The roses and bluebonnets are 🔥🔥

Hope you have an EPIC May! <3

    1. It luckily wasn't terrible, but it did knock down a good amount of trees on our road, lol. And it twisted one of ours right around.

That's so odd about your bosses, wow.

      Thank you!! <33

  13. I've been very excited about the rain/thunderstorms around my place. Apparently there was a tornado near us, but I was out of town when it hit, so I didn't have to experience the sequestering-in-the-bathroom-with-two-annoyed/nervous-animals-plus-an-anxious-dad-who-won't-stay-in-the-safe-room-but-keeps-going-outside situation again.

It looks like you've had a good month! I hope May is just as good!

Your prom alternative sounds fun! And you look so pretty. <3

Ha, funny you should mention April showers/tornadoes because me and my parents were actually in our basement at almost midnight last night waiting out a tornado warning. Guess April wanted to go out with a bang. xD
