catching flights

GUYS, in fOUR HOURS I WILL BE LANDING IN PANAMA.

Whoa. Y'all, this is so nerve-wracking, exciting, and such a new experience. (also, so is blogging from my phone, super hard. btw).

One of the first things one of my little sisters said to me this morning was, "Wow, I hope you don't crash and die."

Me too, chickadoo, me too. 😂

Out of all the ways I can envision myself dying (not crossing the busy road by my house fast enough and my car being smashed by some redneck going 60 over the hill, tripping over air and hitting my head, my heart giving out after something embarrassing happens, etc),  I prefer the thought of at least dying after a fulfilling and God-honoring life, but you know what?

I'm fine with dying. My first thought after I was raised out of the water when I became a Christian was, "Now I can die, because I know where I am going."

And that's what my thoughts need to mirror now. God has complete control over my life, and even though I'm not afraid of flying (I've flown on many small planes and even an open light aircraft with only a seat belt to keep me from falling out), I still need to put my full trust in Him. This trip is truly His and not mine.

My life is truly His and not mine.

So I give this trip, along with everything else in my life, to Him, the one who made the stars, breathed life into our lungs, and died for me and you.

That being said:

I can't wait to see where God leads me this week in Boquete Panama!

Anyways, I'm on my way, love y'all and I'll try to update but if that's not possible, I will tell y'all about it in a week! xx

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, but he that believeth not shall be damned. -Mark 16:15-16

  1. Your sister sounds too much like my siblings ;p lol. Hey, it's more dangerous driving than flying these days ;p Also, your cacti crack me up ... you don't think of prickly things as being joyful, but you make them work ;)
