Welcome to my room!

I actually did a room tour when I first became a blogger, but sadly a lot of the photos on my old posts no longer show up, so I ended up deleting it last year because it was a photo dump that no longer had viewable pictures.

Which is good now because I didn't know what to post today but while I was cleaning my room (it's always a mess) I got an idea; why not take pictures the one day it looks sort of decent and do a new and improved room tour?

So here we are! Are you ready?

My room is still not perfect, I like my bedroom to reflect myself: cute but horribly disorganized and messy.

I am proud of my room because my dad built it for me, along with half of our house.

It was so much fun picking out a color scheme for my room! At the time I thought it was cool to be edgy and dark (it's not) so I wanted to paint my room black or another dark color "like my soul". Thankfully, my parents talked me out of it, explaining that darker colors make a room feel smaller and since my room is small that I would want to work on making it more open.

I am so happy I didn't paint my room a dark color and instead went with a lovely cream/light peach color.

My built-in bookshelf. <3

MY PLANT *heart eyes*

I didn't want to cramp my room with a wardrobe, so instead, I keep my clothes in the drawers of this desk and my closet.

I got this idea for the hanging roses from Ikea and I love it.

The overall look I wanted for my room was an airy, victorian, and chic one, it was kind of funny when people would come over, explore the new parts of our house, and be surprised when they looked into my room that a fourteen-year-old girl would design her room to look more grown-up. I guess they expected zebra stripes at the time?

If you're wondering why I have a fan on my bedpost, well partly because I like cold air on me while sleeping and partly because my room is right off of our living room and my dad and my brother are really loud and turn the tv up enough that I use to have dreams featuring Adam 12.... no thanks.

I am a big notecard person when it comes to memorizing anything, thus why my bedpost is covered in bible verses. :P

And finally, my chipped blue desk which I think is pretty great! Also, this is where I am currently typing from, hi.

That's it! I know this post was super short, but I hope you enjoyed it.

What is your room like?
Do you share with a sibling? Before this room, I shared with two of my siblings.

  1. Ooooh I love the aesthetic of your room! Those hanging roses are epic <3 I'm currently in the process of designing my college dorm room, and I have a bunch of vintage science + nerdy posters picked out as well as a curtain of fairy lights. My roommate and I are also jointly cultivating a succulent garden on our windowsill :)

  4. Ahhhhhh, your room is so pretty!!! <33 It's so aesthetic, and light, and airy. And all the books, and your blue desk. <33 I share a room with my two sisters (and it's a little room), so I don't have much space. XD The colors of my little space are gray, blue, and a dark brown. AND I LOVE YOUR LITTLE PLANT. <33

  11. Your room looks beautiful. :) It kind of (for some reason) has the sort of feel that your aesthetics for Earth's Child have. :)

I wish I could redo my room, but I share it with two younger sisters and there isn't much room for creativity between a bunk bed and my twin bed. :P

  17. I love your room so much! Last year me and my sisters redid our room because beach themed was so longer cool or even slightly aesthetic. ;) I've thought of doing a room post similar to this one but my room is never clean enough haha.
